Pavilion Bukit Jalil ~ Liondance Championships

Pavilion Bukit Jalil

3rd ~ Traditional Lion Dance Championship
4th ~ National Acrobatic Lion Dance Championship
5th ~ International Acrobatic Lion Dance Championship

I was excited. Love lion dances. Love watching them compete. But HATE the waiting!

On the 3rd, I was at PBJ really early. Doors didn’t open til 10am sharp, so waited in the car. Had a perfect parking space though. Checked the main court and found out they were only starting at 11ish. Sat myself at Verrona Hills to have coffee and a bombolini.

When the launching of CNY 2025 was over, lions marched up to Level 3 to the open court for the competition.

Snake!!!!!

I didn’t finished watching this day’s championships.

I returned the next day, 4th, early again as usual. Disappointed and a little upset cos it was training first then competition to start only at 2PM.
Sigh.
I had 3 hours to kill.
A complete waste of my time but nothing can be done. I wanted to watch, at least a few troops.

Troops practicing on the stilts

Morning Market at Taman Eng Ann Klang

It’s a beautiful Sunday morning!

Breakfast in one of the kopitiams

Just found out about morning market at Taman Eng Ann in Klang. Supposedly, there’s more than 200 stalls here. A looooooong market.

Parking was horrendous. I parked quite a distance, on a grass opening. Felt like a mile away walking to the market!!!

I was excited to visit this market. I love huge markets. Moreover, it’s 24 days before Chinese New Year so I was expecting lots of CNY goodies here.

Alas! My expectations were too high.

This market IS huge but chaotic. Walk ways are too narrow. not easy to enjoy the goodies each stall is selling. Things are everywhere. You will see one stall selling bras then next door they are selling pastries, that’s not even covered!

Oh well, I’m sure the residents who frequent this market is used to it. Don’t think there are many like me ‘visiting’ markets from afar.
