Shanghai - Hisamitsu Dpt Store

Hisamitsu Department Store

Located just next to the Jing'an Temple pedestrian walk. It is a high end store of 9 floors. A variety of restaurants are located at the top 2 floors. There is also a great food court and supermarket at the basement. Good visit after Jing'an Temple.
Flowers just outside, by the walk way

A magnificent view of Jing'an Temple from a moving glass lift
Jimau bao ji means chicken wrapped in chicken feathers. It is actually a whole salted chicken being wrapped in real dried chicken feathers. Only available during Chinese New Year. You have to wash off the feathers and decide whether you want to steam or bake the salted chicken.
Cured meats for Chinese New Year
Chinese sausages
Ooooh found Nando's chilli sauces

Isn't this jar of jam cute?

I love this supermarket at the basement of the Hisamitsu Department Store. It is filled with a good variety of wet and dry goods. However, the foreign goods are really expensive here. A small jar of vanilla essence can cost up to 68 Yuan!

Shanghai - Happy Rich Tea Restaurant

This particular Rich Tea is located directly opposite the Jing'an Temple. It looked like a colorful Hong Kong cafetaria, serving all kinds of pastries, food and drinks.

Yan Lan Lou Halal Restaurant

One of the famous Muslim restaurants in China; in the top 10 list in Shanghai.

This restaurant celebrates cuisine from the Gansu Province. Gansu Province's ancient status was the gateway to the Silk Road, surrounded with desert, mountain and plain areas. Beef, mutton and wheat were the staple food at Gansu.

In summer and autumn seasons, Gansu produces a variety of fruits and melons. Lanzhou, its capital, is known as The City of Melons and Fruit.
