"In the autumn of 2014, hibiscus thrives and magnolia blossoms, upon the 40th anniversary of China - Malaysia diplomatic relations, when the people of China and Malaysia are in times of peace and prosperity. The People's Government of Dongguan Municipality is pleased to build the China - Malaysia Friendship Garden to celebrate and mark the friendship between the two countries.
Zhiyuan literally means the garden where friends are made. And as an old saying goes, a bosom friend afar brings a distant land near."

Entrance is free. Parking is free.
If the weather is not too hot, it is quite a nice place to stroll about. The place is pretty with well maintained flowers and colorful murals.
