Tipsi Asi

2nd visit to Tipsi Asi since 2022. Road has improved but still, is quite a challenge to reach the top.

We were there at about 1.30PM. It was the HOTTEST most humid cafe I have ever been. No ceiling fans. Only standing fans here and there. No ac section, only open air. Very green though, plants everywhere. Staff was well dressed with uniform but owners’ image… hmmmm… not a good representation of their own restaurant. Shabby.

The water structure (there’s 2) in the middle of the restaurant, I believe, was not done properly. Water was flowing out, making the walkway wet.

Food is pretty good here, thus the crowd I presumed. Maybe this place is a better visit during the evening.

We had finger food and a pizza as ot was just way too hot to eat anything heavier.

Siok Siok Pot

Siok Siok Pot @ Pintas Kepayan

A mediocre buffet steamboat place but very crowded. Not cheap though - RM48 per pax. Grill is another RM18.

Chaotic place. Staff inefficient. Buffet line was not organized; you have to hunt around. Should be all in one big section lahhhh. Drink station also messy. Steamboat utensils were places under the shelves, not easily seen. Well, at least for firstcomers.

But I already hated the place.

We got a table by the road. To get a staff to serve us was difficult. We struggled to work the temperature. Everything was in Chinese and no explanation from the staff. Arrrgghhhh!

I must say, the marinated meats were good. Well marinated so they were tasty. Soups were diluted. However, overall experience sucked!

The Noah

(Mark Baba Pets Cafe)

What a beautiful establishment. It is not as small as one might think. Although only a few animals for now (I believe they will expand in time) but very well arranged and maintained. Staff are friendly and helpful.

Coffee is good here!

They have 4 sections in and outside the cafe.

Outside the cafe, there’s the Exotic House which one has to book your time slot for a visit. Half an hour per time slot. Here, you can find racoons, meerkats and prairie dogs.

Also next to the Exotic House is the Small Animal House where the hedgehogs and hamsters live.

Inside the cafe, a pair of gorgeous Oriental Bay Owls greet you. They are so gentle and they sway left and right most of the time. Yes, you may pat them gently.

Then, there’s the Chinchilla House where additionally, you can also find 2 ducks and a giant rabbit.

And of course, there’s the intriguing Reptilia Studio where you can pat and carry iguanas, bearded dragon, blue tongue, and other lizards. One tortoise lives there as well.
