Cameron Highlands - Guan Di Miao

Guan Di Miao or Guan Di Temple, Tringkap, Cameron Highlands

This Chinese temple sits on a hill right by the main road. I had noticed it a few times when we were in the highlands but only this time, we made it a point to visit it. As the path to the main entrance is just off the main road, I had to be careful as drivers love to drive fast on that stretch of road.

The slope up towards the entrance is rather steep. You may choose to drive right up or park halfway and walk the rest of the way. I parked on the halfway landing as I saw a poinsettia tree by the fence. Decided to walk up to the temple.

Cameron Highlands - Kwan Tee Temple

Kwan Tee Temple, Kampung Raja, Cameron Highlands

Kampung Raja is a little village at the North entrance to the highlands from Simpang Pulai. There sits a new-looking Chinese temple with a grand arch at its entrance. There are restaurants around this temple. I could not find much information or history about this temple except that it got its new image in 2019.

Cameron Highlands - Last Stop Centre: SUNFLOWERS

This is the Last Stop Centre when you are leave Cameron Highlands or the first stop when you enter Cameron Highlands via Simpang Pulai. Well, I have been to Cameron for a few times already but this is the first time I noticed the sunflower garden at this centre. I literally had to pull my brakes as we were leaving the highlands one Sunday morning!!!

Glad to finally photograph these beautiful sunflowers. I had purposely driven up to Perlis one day so as to see their sunflower field.  However, luck was not with us. They had just planted the seeds and needed another 3 months for the flowers to grow tall. It was most disappointing.
Therefore, Cameron Highlands was our savior!

This Last Stop Centre is actually a centre where one can do last-minute shopping before one leaves the highlands. They have planted other flowers as well in their garden and they have a huge vegetable patch behind the centre.

Enjoy the sunflowers here and I hope that you will get to see these rich beautiful yellow blooms when you are in Cameron Highlands one day.
