Snoqualmie

When you are in Snoqualmie, gotta visit their ice-cream shop!

Snoqualmie ice cream is known to be organic and natural. They also have sorbet, custard and gelato.

SNOQUALMIE

Snoqualmie means Moon; a Salish word.
Snoqualmie people live in longhouses in villages and spoke the Southern dialect of the Lushootseed Language used by many Puget Sound Salish tribes.

Tried Oaxacan cuisine here at Caadxi Oaxaca in Snoqualmie.
This particular dish was steamed lamb with fragrant rice and black beans.

North Bend Premium Outlets

North Bend Premium Outlets

Only 34 stores.
It is a huge shopping area but it is not 'premium' at all, to my standard. Also, not many restaurants here too. On the plus side, they have the Rocky Mountain chocolate factory so I got to buy my caramel apples. And, the scenery is beautiful here.

Fluent Steps by Martin Blank, 2009

There are 3 islands of glass ~ Cascades, Echo and Wisps.
They are about 210 feet long in the Main Plaza's reflecting pool.
Fluent Steps consist of 754 individually sculptured glass piece.

Cascades ~ are pieces about 15 feet above the water
Echo ~ flows on the surface of the water
Wisps ~ hundreds of small glass forms breaching the surface of the water

"MY INTENT WITH FLUENT STEPS IS TO AWAKEN THE VIEWER’S EYE TO KEENLY OBSERVE, INTERACT WITH, AND RESPOND TO THE EMOTIVE NATURE OF WATER. WATER CAN BE PLACID, SUBLIME, AND — IN AN INSTANT — UNCOMPROMISINGLY RAW AND POWERFUL. IT’S THE VEHICLE FOR CAPTURING LIGHT, MOTION, FLUIDITY, AND TRANSPARENCY. IT’S THE VEHICLE FOR LIFE."
— MARTIN BLANK
