There’s 2 restaurants here. One (vegetarian) just beside the temple. The non vegetarian is opposite the temple, same ground. 

I came here to visit my favorite deity… Kuan Kung!

Sien See Sze Ya Temple

Golly! This was a unique temple grounds!

My first time entering Pekan Sungai Besi. Chaotic! Food stalls everywhere. Many cars but narrow roads. Lucky this temple is located at a corner with its own parking space.

But LOOK! Doesn’t it feels like a theme park?

The temple is small but the grounds…!!!!! Filled with all sorts of dieties, legends, Gods, myth heroes to the brim.

This year, plenty of these face changing performances around the malls. Last year and before, it was tough looking for them around the city. 

However, this particular one was only 5 minutes. Not much presentation, more of saying hi to visitors. Disappointing.

Batu Caves KL

This year, there’s huge difference to and at Batu Caves. The roads were more supervised. Parking along the main highway was not as chaotic. Tow trucks were working hard to tow away cars that weren’t supposed to be parked at certain places.

At Batu Caves, so much more organized. Line of devotees with kavadis were organized at one end, leading straight up the stairs. The public were able to walk around comfortably. I was amazed. This was my first time being able to walk straight up to the Lord Murugan statue for photos. In the past years, can only see from far as the crowd to climb up the cave was everywhere. 

I love the atmosphere. The enthusiasm. The courageous spirit. The loyalty. The devotees are so admirable. 

It was cold coconut juice the whole morning!!!
