Plumbago for Mother's Day 2012

No language can express the power, and beauty, and heroism, and majesty of a mother's love.  It shrinks not where man cowers, and grows stronger where man faints, and over wastes of worldly fortunes sends the radiance of its quenchless fidelity like a star.

Happy Mommy's Day to all beautiful and awesome mothers of the world!
Reliable...
Resilient...
Facing life's difficulties with patience and courage...
Refusing to give up...
Rebound from hardships, traumas, misfortunes...
Determination to embrace all that makes life worth living...
The Plumbago flower...has all the qualities that a mother has within her...a small flower but such a big heart. A very loving flower as it's very well known for treating wounds, headaches and dispels bad dreams.
Pale sky blue in color...so like moms who work tirelessly and yet so beautiful.
A sun-loving flower...moms are fun people too, if you give them your time, attention and love!
Because I feel that in the heavens above, the Angels, whispering one to another, can find among their burning tears of love, none so devotional as that of "Mother",
Therefore, by that dear name I have long called you, You who are more than mother unto me.
(Edgar Allan Poe)
(My daughter Nicole and my mom Dorothy)
A daughter is a mother's gender partner, her closest ally in the family confederacy, an extension of her self.  And mothers are their daughters' role model, their biological and emotional road map, the arbiter of all their relationships.  ~Victoria Secunda ~
