Mansion 1969

This lil museum cafe is located right at a immediate left turn after the traffic lights coming off the SKVE (South Klang Valley Expressway) into Jenjarom. It looks like an old wooden Chinese house.

This old heritage cafe serves great fusion food. They have anything from rice, noodles and western food. Good portion and tasty cooking. I noticed that customers kept coming in that Sunday afternoon after they opened at 12 noon. Once you are inside the wooden house, Shanghai tunes float in the air. History stated that this house belonged to the Ser family for a good 47 years. It was constructed in 1969.

Thean Hou Temple - CNY 2018

Thean Hou Temple was buzzing with excitement on the night of the 24th February - Hokkien New Year - the 9th day of Chinese New Year. Just got to be there in person to see the lanterns. It was simple WOW!

Traditional lantern
Thean Hou Temple has been famous for its elaborate lantern decorations during the Chinese New Year. It is most breath-taking when you are standing under the roof of red lanterns.

I was wondering how those lanterns reached the top of the poles! Human or Crane?
