Longshan Temple

Wanhua District, Taipei, Taiwan
Built in 1738 by the Han immigrants from Fujian during the Qing Dynasty. It is one of the top temples in Taipei today. Longshan is dedicated to the goddess Guanyin. The Guanyin statue survived the bombing in 1945! Longshan is located right in the heart of old Taipei, the 18th century times. When we were there, the crowd was horrendous. It is quite impossible to enter into the middle of the temple grounds. This temple has been declared as a Secondary National Heritage site.
