The Structure of Glass
What is Glass?

"If you think glass as a living organism, you might think of the goal of this unit as describing the process from conception to birth and the natural characteristics of glass. From the microscopic structure of a glass icon, to it remarkable optical properties, to the formation of its color, we reveal every detail to you one bye one."

Timelines between Ancient Greece compared to Ancient China

"Ancient Greece was one of the first places to see the appearance of the craft of glassmaking. The craft began to develop from the start of the New Kingdom in the 16th Century BC. Early on, the primary glass products included glass beads and by the 16th Century BC, single colored beads were already available. By the 10th Century BC, dragonfly eyes became popular."

Silver Lined Jubilee Liqueur Bottle ( 1912 - 1949 )

"This glass bottle was made for England. The body of the bottle is decorated with silver bamboo leaves and the auspicious symbol of the 'jubilee'. This above exhibition in BRKN is named 'Unbreakable'.
What do you think about it?

BRKN Exhibition

Mounted by curator and museum designer, German architect, Tilman Thurmer. This exhibition will last until the end of this year. BKRN shows how glass shatters and cracks; a metaphor for heartbreaks, bad lucks and hope. I guess one would come up with your own metaphor for life when seeing an exhibition here and having an imagination.

This exhibition is named 'Fragile'
