This shop will take you back in time. Lots of Taffy candy and nostalgic souvenirs.

First known as Saltwater Taffy

It is a soft chewy type of candy invented in the USA. First cooked in copper kettles, cooled on marble slabs and and stretched & pulled from a hook.  Ingredients were sugar, cornstarch, corn syrup, butter, salt, flavorings and colorings.

In the UK, taffy is known as chews or fruit chews.

How Taffy got its name?

Originally began in Atlantic City, New Jersey in the 19th century. The Bradley candy story was flooded in a storm in 1883 and his entire stock of taffy was soaked in salt water from the Atlantic ocean.
