Taman Metropolitan Kepong

Yin’s Sourdough Bakery & Cafe is located at The Beat, Kiara Bay… which is right next to the Kepong Metropolitan Park. Very convenient.

The Beat is still growing in shops as it looks really new and upscale. Its location is perfect as it is next to the park, making it easy for people to dine before or/after their walk.

So, as usual, a good hearty breakfast before our walk!

Sourdough bagel with luncheon chicken

Scrambled eggs with sourdough toasts

Homemade sausage and mashed potatoes

Kepong Metropolitan Park is at Kiara Bay. A humongous 95 hectare of land.

See what I saw?

Out Of Africa and Kudu Bar

Out Of Africa & Kudu Bar is located at PJ Palms Sports Centre, same row with my childhood A&W.
Serves authentic South African cuisine and I must say, pretty delicious.

We had the Zebu Steak Pie that came highly recommended by Nihal our waiter, and the Lamb Bobotie. The pie was good, beef was tender, sauce was flavorful but it was nothing fantastic. Nothing bad to comment as it tasted like my own black pepper beef stew!!! The lamb however was SUPERB! It was tasty and spices were yummy; foreign indeed. I wanted to taste something unique, different, South African… the LAMB was it!

Pu Yuan Restaurant

Pu Yuan is an old wooden little place off the busy Old Klang Road. You have to enter at the junction with an arch stating SJK Choong Wen. Then you have to find yourself a car park where you don't block anyone. Pu Yuan is actually located at an alley off this road to the school!!!
There is no English signboard. Just Chinese words  炒薯粉 (Chau Shu Fen)
 and the number 112.
Very basic little eating place with no windows but there's air-conditioning though.

The last time we visited this humble but yummy Hokkien restaurant was in 2019. Enjoyed their cooking tremendously. So dropped by again after so long and still, their cooking was superb.

There was a queue waiting to get a table as there's only 8 tables inside the restaurant. Just be patient! Of cos if you are unlucky, you might bump into one who would try to cut queue.

This time we lunched in the restaurant and we also ordered to take home for dinner. Might as well so we could enjoy their cooking the whole day!
