Seen Hock Yeen Confucius Temple

(I borrowed the above photo from Google)
I was astonished when I arrived at the temple grounds. The above pic was what I first saw. A beautiful arch, a locked gate and empty car park space on the sides. Is this the place? Is this what I had seen in Google? Where is the beautiful landscape?

As it is a religious place, I didn't quite dare to wander around too much but I was most unsatisfied. Hubby was not sure what I was looking for as he has not heard of this place at all. He was just an obedient companion. Guess because I was grumping around so much, he wandered around for me! For a sec, I lost sight of him and then I heard his yell, "It is here."

Welcome to the scenic Seen Hock Yeen temple!

Enjoy the scenery. It is amazing. This temple was first started by a school teacher therefore students come here to pray before their exams til today. As we were there on a Saturday, I noticed 2 tour groups visiting the temple as well.

Destiny bridge.

Visitors are only allowed to cross this bridge with permission.  While crossing the bridge,  1) you must NOT talk, 2) you should only look to the LEFT, and 3) you must not look to the right.

Chemor & Pusing

Our plan was to drive up to Chemor then down to Pusing then home. However, there were so many yummy surprises in Chemor that we only managed to drop by Pusing for awhile. Gotta get our butts back there again!
Chemor, Perak
Welcome to the darling town of Chemor.

Big market. We were on a mission to hunt for an old lady who sells Hakka kuehs in the market.

Chemor, Perak
Found the old lady and found the kuehs!
Chemor, Perak
The trick to these Hakka kuehs is the thinness of the skin and a whole dollop of tasty filling. Hakka people prefer savory or salty fillings, that's why one can eat a lot of kuehs at a time!
This kueh is with coconut fillings.
Stopped by a kopitiam nearby to enjoy the kuehs but was attracted by a young boy selling wantan noodles, so decided to try them. They were DEEEEEEEEEEEEEEELICIOUS!

 Coffee was great too.
Went for a stroll after breakfast.

Famous for its lui cha and hakka chai kueh in Chemor, Perak
The ever so wonderful Chong Chew. They serve great food and make crazy tasty Hakka kuehs.

On the way to visit the old railway station in Tanjung Rambutan, an Indian man suddenly ran passed my car at top speed.  I stopped to see what was happening. Hehe...he ran after a calf, shooed it towards the herd, then shooed all, walking passed my car. We waved at him and he waved back with a huge smile on his face. What a guy!
Tanjung Rambutan Railway Station.  Began its operations in the late 1890s, it is now abandoned, of course. Who cares about it being once useful, connecting towns and serving the people, right?
Welcome to Pusing!

When I drove into the town, I was like.....Hello Papan!!!
Pusing is Papan's neighbor. Papan is a ghost town which I had visited not too long ago, an interesting dilapidated town indeed. BUT, Pusing.... Pusing is full of life.

Stopped by the famous Hakka kueh stalls in Pusing.

Found beautiful sticky pancake in Pusing.
Tau Foo Fah was lovely.
