Colors so alive
I could see them in your soul
What were you thinking?
When you were mixing fire and love
Or when you are combining milk and honey
Admiration I have most for you
For your humor, life and feelings
For I believe every one of us wishes to have a little part of us that can freely float
No misery
No heartaches
No doubts
Just the colors and I.
(Jo-Ann Tan)
I read... it was a project started by the Shah Alam City Council way back in 2014 when they were trying to develop back alleys. It started out as Laman Seni 2 with the collaboration of Bank Muamalat and UiTM students. This particular project is named Laman Seni 7 which is situated in Jalan Plumbum Section 7.
This world is but a canvas to our imagination. (Henry David Thoreau)
These orangutan paintings brought a huge grin to my sweaty and grumpy self that morning. The heat was just horrendous. I thought I was somewhat nuts trying to walk in the humidity to enjoy the paintings. I must say each painting brought a standstill to my thoughts.
Art is not what you see but what you make others see. (Edgar Degas)
I believe that IS the beauty of art. It is subjective. It makes your imagination wander. It brings back memories, happy and sad ones. It help one day dream too. Who knows, it might be just the inspiration you need to move you.
One eye sees. The other feels. (Paul Klee)
Art will remain the most astonishing activity of mankind born out of struggle between wisdom and madness, between dream and reality of our mind. (Magdalena Abakanowicz)
I cannot draw. Well, I can...but the picture in my mind never turn out to what I want it to be. I love drawings of all kinds, be it portraits or contemporary art. I appreciate that it moves my thoughts to sometimes the wildest places. I don't try to make sense of a piece of art but I let the joy of the colors and the image take me to my untouched lands in my soul. Always love the ride and the fictional bits of it.
I wish that too, dearie!
Art is the literacy of the heart. (Elliot Eisner)
It says...This is our story!
Art attracts us only by what it reveals of our most secret self. (Jean Luc Godard)
Every artist dips his brush in his own soul and paints his own nature into his pictures. (Henry Ward Beecher)
To draw, you must close your eyes and sing. (Pablo Picasso)
Love what they did to the road.
A little health reminder. Cute.
I love what they had started but I wish a gazillion times that people would uphold what has been started. Especially when expressions like these are so beautiful and emotional and uplifting and simple breathtaking. This is my first visit and already I feel the sadness. I see colors fading away. I see passion disappearing. I see enthusiasm losing its heart. I see excitement on its deathbed. God, I hope this passion and enthusiasm and excitement are geared somewhere else; where they are treasured, sustained, and strengthened.
