From Zhongke Road to Longde = 21 stations

Then, to Nanxiang via Line 11 = another 9 stations

What a looooooooooooong metro ride!

Especially when we are travelling to new places, it is always welcoming to arrive at a mall! Really. When I see a mall, I jump for joy. At least I know there's food and toilets, and if anything happens along the way, there's always this safe place to come back to. 

Anyways, this mall is just right opposite the metro station. 

Our main focus was hunting down Nanxiang Ancient Town... after food!

Now... off to Nanxiang Ancient Town

Walk down these stairs. Turn right. Look out for Zhongjia Road. Turn right again and walk straight. Pass Minzhu Road and walk until you reach Guyiyuan Road. Turn right at the traffic light and there's a canal  and Chinese roofs across the road. That's Heping Street. Turn left into it. Walk all the way to the end and you will see Deyuan Road. Cross the road into Nanxiang Ancient Town!

Sounds complicated but it really was not. Just a long walk down the road and look out for the canal.

Nanxiang Ancient Town was really an exciting little town to explore.

In the evening...

After a long day of exploring and shopping!!!!, we came back to this mall to take our metro ride home.

Before our ride, we had a Dairy Queen ice cream first!

Time to go home!

 

Shanghai - Cloud 9 - Typhoon In Fa

It was a Sunday and we had decided to spend a day in a mall as it was a stormy day. stupidly not knowing about Typhoon In-Fa!

Typhoon In-Fa landed in the Putuo district of the city of Zhoushan, Zhejiang province at 12.30PM this day. It moved at the speed of 15km per hour, along the Zhejiang coast. passed Shanghai and reached Jiangsu province by evening. This resulted in Shanghai and Hangzhou cancelling flights. trains were suspended at metro stations, floodings. and broken trees were everywhere.

We took Line 4 to Zongshan Park metro station

Walked to the left of the station to this exit and it led us to a tunnel straight into Cloud 9 Mall. This is our 2nd time to the mall and this is totally a different route into the mall, this time. Loved this mall as it has a good range of restaurants and boutiques that we liked, but the journey is far.

Saw that Charme has its own range of mooncakes. However, they only sell mooncakes per box. We asked if we could buy only one to try first and a kind lady actually offered us one lotus mooncake, FOC! Nice!

Reached our home metro station at Zhongke Road and saw that workers were busy clearing the road and bikes were all on the ground.
