YUMMMMMMMY XIAO LONG BAO

Historically, it was believed that Nanxiang gave birth to the famous Xiaolong bao by a restaurateur named Hung Mingxian. His dream was to create surprise soup dumplings for his guests at his restaurant. He was successful and people were coming to his restaurant named Ri Hua Xuan to try his yummy dumplings.

These soup dumplings were originally named Nanxiang Da Rou Mantou.

Over the years, they came Xiaolong Bao or "Little Basket Buns".

How are soup dumplings known as a Taiwanese dish today?
Apparently, in 1958, Din Tai Fung hired a Chinese chef who knew how to make these soup dumplings, and over the years, this famous restaurant has perfected the dumplings and cultivated soup dumplings experts.
