FLYING WANTAN MEE
with Uncle Chin
at Restoran Yat Yeh Hing, SS4 PJ
We visited Uncle Chin, who makes the wantan AND noodles fly!
I felt like the luckiest customer in the world today. Ordered 2 plates of Wantan Mee with Char Siew. Uncle Chin asked, “How you want your Char Siew?”
I said, “Your best version.”
Then Uncle Chin sat with us, chillaxing with his bottle of beer. Telling tales about how he get his pork and what kind of pork he buys; only the best. Taught me how to choose pork neck bones!
And then he said, “Actually my pork soup is nicer. I’ll treat you to a bowl!”
“No no thank you Uncle, I can always come again.”
“No no no you must try!”
So a bowl of minced pork patties, pork slices and “chee cheong” arrived on our table. The soup was crazy yummy!
Yipppppppy, free food but very pai seh (shy) 🤣
Uncle Chin continued to sit and chat with us.
And then, the neighbour fishball stall Auntie came with 2 huge fishballs on a plate and said to us,
“Here try my fish balls. I made it myself!” 😱
Wahhhhhh, more free food!
Alleluia, praise the Lord!!!!!!!!!!!
I managed to take a handsome portrait of Uncle Chin with his beer 🍺 That was my joy.
