My annual visit to Zoo Negara!
Usually it’s done on my birthday where I redeem a free ticket. However last year, the “old” panda bears were returned to China. So I waited.
The new pair just debuted just last week, after a month of quarantine. Just in time for Hubs to redeem his birthday ticket. So we visited the new set of panda bears on 13 January 2026.
We were very lucky as we visit the panda centre when it was just opened and the bears were active. Then another visit during their feeding time and got to see some cute action. After feeding, they were off to snooze land!!!
Chen Xing is a male. Fondly known as Bintang or Star.
Xiau Yue is a female. Lovingly known as Bulan or Moon.
This was my first time watching a camel eat!!!
They were always either sleeping or just lazying around in the zoo.
