St. Sophia Cathedral, Harbin
It is believe this is the largest Eastern Orthodox Church in the Far East. Also known as The Cathedral of Holy Wisdom of God; it is 175 feet high. The Russians built St. Sophia in Harbin in 1907 in Neo-Byzantine style. It was completed in timber, then four years later, it was rebuilt in masonry and timber. St. Sophia was built after the completion of the railway which connected Vladivostok to Northeastern China.
I believe it is now a museum, however, it was closed when we were there. It was our first day in Harbin that day and we were freezing! So, it was a really quick visit!
