Christmas Evening 2020
We walked to Aloft Hotel to have a nice Christmassy buffet spread. Aloft did not have typical Christmas decorations, e.g. a Christmas tree, weirdly enough it had gingerbread houses for sale in the lobby!
The buffet spread was lovely. It was colorful and of Christmas vibes. There was free flow of red and white wine. There was a salad section, a seafood section, a dessert section, Chinese dishes, and surprisingly, they served a good variety of meats including turkey.
Getting food amidst the crowd was like fighting to get food! Not much organization and people who were there did not care much about queueing or having manners. Lucky, I still got to taste some turkey and a piece of pecan pie...which were good. Nevertheless, we still had a nice time as the staff was friendly and courteous. There was a lucky draw that evening and we won a little prize; a flask.
