Guyi Garden @ Ancient Yi Garden
古猗园
Built originally during the Ming Dynasty with the name Yi Garden; owned by a majistrate during the Jiangjing era. It was renamed to Guyi Garden during the Qing Dynasty.
Guyi Garden is located right next to the Nanxiang Ancient Town. It was designed as a typical style of a Jiangnan classical garden.

"According to legend, the owner Min Shiji planted these pagoda trees in pairs. It's said that only a royal can plant pagoda trees in pairs because the shape of its branches are like dragon claws which are symbols of emperors, and the tree crown like a royal canopy."
