Pangkor Laut Resort

This is a long overdue post. We were at Pangkor Laut Resort from 26 to 28 May 2018.

This was the registration office at Marina Island Pangkor, Lumut. After registration, we chilled out with free drinks until we were called to board our boat. Journey to Pangkor Laut was about 15 mins.

The Pangkor Laut personnel wrapped our bags because it was about to rain. Very thoughtful of them.
Sea was choppy.
There it is. The romantic Pangkor Laut Resort, a small private continental island of about 120 hectares. I was looking forward to serenity, white sandy beaches, great food and long walks with Hubs.

Pangkor Laut Resort was launched in 1994. Luciano Pavarotti was invited to sing at the launch. There are about 140 luxury villas and suites at the island. There is also a Spa Village and 2 beaches and plenty of fancy restaurants around the island. Plenty of monkeys around the rainforest. Lots of greedy hornbills around too. And, bats.

Entrance to the resort. Each couple or group was accompanied by a resort personnel. Loved their service. The staff who attended to us was a handsome young man from Nepal.

That's us! Patiently waiting for our villa key.

Walked to our villa.
First thing that caught my eye....our very own private SPA!!!!!!
Our own sinks too! Yayyyy!
Our private patio with comfy cushions.
Bedroom was heavenly.
My bestest friend!!! Our own coffee machine.
Time for a tour and beer.

Steaks for dinner.
Awesome library.
 Incense for bedtime.
Breakfast time.
Beautiful view.
One of the booths during breakfast time.
My all time favorite: Sunny side up eggs, bread, and salad....oh, and coffee, of course.
Then..... a nosy friend came near.
Landed on our table....pecked....THIS IS MINE! And flew off...
Look at it (left side), with my croissant in its beak.
Coffee makes me smile....always.
Off to Emerald Bay. Ready for a tan and cold beers by the beach.

Love sticking my feet into warm white sand.

Back to the hotel pool.

Always hungry when I am in the pool. Not good for diet! So we ordered fried chicken with yam chips, and club sandwiches.

Guess who came for a visit??? Such cheekiness too. It cleverly hopped from tree branch to ground and sneakily went behind my poolside chair, thinking I didn't notice it. I was ready for it with my phone!
Then one more came by....
Finally, Fatso walked by....
Decided to take a stroll around the resort grounds and found a bat tree!
Seemed like a million bats were hanging upside down in a few trees by the sea.
Passage to our villa.
Dinner for me on the 2nd night was fish, mashed potatoes and veggies. The Chef came by to check on us like he did during breakfast time. Nice chap.
Wine o'clock
Beautiful evening. It was cool to watch the bats flying off from the tree to the forest.
We walked about until we decided to go back to our villa. Loved the evening at the resort. Everywhere felt so romantic and cosy.
Breakfast again...this time with loads of bacon!
Chapati with its curries.
Couldn't help going on with waffle and sweet berries. Except that I had to convince the chef that I could only eat a quarter of a waffle!
Last picture of our chalet and balcony.
Our boat ride back to the mainland.
