Finally, we made it to the Jim Thompson Tea Room at the Cameron Highlands Resort. I have always been curious and fascinated with his disappearance in 1967. Until today, it remains a mystery.
James Harrison Wilson "Jim" Thompson's story
1957 : He discovered Thai weavers in Bangkok. Silk were sent to New York
1950: His Thai silk business prospered and he opened his first shop in Surawong Road, Bangkok.
1967: Jim was holidaying in Cameron Highlands.
26 March 1967, Jim went for a walk in the jungle and never came back.
This English tea set is one of the finest I have ever tasted. Each piece was flavorsome and beautifully presented. Scones were homemade and very tasty. Sandwiches were yummy. Desserts were delicious.
Not sure as to the reason the waiter held the flowers in front of my phone whilst taking these shots. Guess he was trying to creative!!!
