The Danny Woo Community Garden
Seattle China International District
Founded in 1975. This community garden is situated right next to the Kobe Terrace. In fact we found this garden after strolling through Kobe Terrace and saw the Nippon Kan Theatre and then to the right is the start of this garden. Did not realize it was the community garden until we walked halfway and saw the signboard!
This garden is cultivated and cared for by the Asian community in the Chinatown neighborhood. They have vegetable plots, fruit orchard, flower patch and a chicken coop. It was a fascinating discovery at first then later realized it was a well managed garden, on a hilly patch of land.

"One Heart/Mind.
With the passing seasons.... countless hands and hearts caress the earth - Here, this evening's meal!
... to the memory of all our friends and forebears, who through the years have shared their spirit in the garden and community... "
Our discovery of the Danny Woo Community Garden was from the top of the hill, by Kobe Terrace and ended here on 620 South Main Street.
