This village is location in Alor Gajah, about 45 minutes from Melaka town.
Kenn Guan Hiong Bread Factory, 1935
First generation Mr. Puah arrived in Machap from Hainan. He was well known in making dried bread pieces for his villagers.
The bread factory started in 1935 in this very wooden factory, specializing in Rotikok, crispy bread strips.
3rd generation Mr. Puah handed over the Rotikok business to his son.
A very happy soul, senior Puah entertained us with his bread and family stories. He was most friendly and generous with information. Any questions asked, he would gladly answer.
We were very happy to see that this bread business will continue and hope that this family journey will prosper in generations to come.
