Really enjoyed Red Hong Yi’s creativity. It certainly brought back some sweet memories of Shanghai to us.
A Longtang is what one call an alleyway house or Lilong residence. Built in Shanghai during the 19th century. We have had an opportunity to visit a couple of Longtangs during our stay in Shanghai. The one authentic one we managed to visit was in Xintiandi. There were still people living there but they are slowly moving out. Of cos there are renovated Longtangs for tourists but they are never the same. Too neat. Too quiet!
