Sri Gnanananda Puram

Sri Gnanananda Puram
Hindu Temple in Teluk Intan
Actually, it’s at Jalan Changkat Jong just before reaching Teluk Intan.
Residential area. There’s a special parking space with a beautiful wall surrounding it. Plenty of dogs and cows wandering about so be careful when you walk…. POOP everywhere!!!

Amazing architecture for a Hindu temple ~ a Medieval castle. Not allowed to take photos inside but I found some photos taken by others in the reviews, so I included them here in my blog.
Inside the temple is huge. Blue lights all over. Starues of deities on both sides of the walls.

I understand that this is the 1st temple in Malaysia that has all 12 Jothirlingams inside ~ the representations of Lord Shiva.

Main deity here is Lord Ganesha.

However, there’s a huge statue of Lord Hanuman at the end of the temple, in the middle. We got blessed by the priest there when we stood in front of Lord Hanuman. He capped a silver ‘bucket’ on our heads.

I took this as this deity was standing at the main entrance of the temple.

The rest of the photos below were taken from the temple reviews; photos taken by other visitors during their visit.
