Tua Pek Kong Temple

Tua Pek Kong himself at 48 feet tall
This particular Tua Pek Kong temple is situated at Kampung Pasir Panjang Laut, Sitiawan, Perak. The biggest in Malaysia. It is known to be over a 100 years old. The weird thing is that this little village seemed so quiet and suddenly, WALLA...a huge temple loomed on a 3 hectare compound, filled with 98 statues of deities and animals from the Chinese calendar. I can only imagine what the crowd is like during major Chinese festivals like Chinese New Year or MidAutumn Festival.

The sea is right at the end

There were stalls selling snacks and seafood. Above is a salted fish.
Clams and dried prawns - products from the sea
There were also many food stalls inside the temple. Most of them were selling the famous red wine mee sua, gong pian (famous Fuzhou biscuits), and cold desserts and drinks.

 Dragon temple

 The Courtyard

 Pagoda

I was most tickled pink when I saw a male dragon statue. I have never heard of a he-dragon. So I was chuckling as I took the dragon penis photos!!!!!!
