Perlis

On 7 September 2019 we stepped on Perlis' soil. That wrapped up our 13-state visit throughout Malaysia.

We had planned to visit Alor Setar initially but when I was found that Perlis was just another hour's drive away, I made a last minute decision. Managed to make a quick visit to Perlis and drove up to Bukit Kayu Hitam to visit the duty free zone. And thereafter, drove down to Alor Setar.

Had lunch in this family owned little cafe. This tomato sauce noodles was their specialty whereby the noodles were made by the family themselves. Pretty good.
Bukit Kayu Hitam duty free zone. It's about 30 minutes away from Kangar, Perlis. Signs were unclear as though it was not opened to the public, yet, we managed to get through immigration and paid a visit. Upsetting visit really. It looked more like a huge grocery store. Nothing impressive. We were there for probably about 30 minutes and we decided not to waste time anymore.

Had to pass through customs and immigration this time to get back in so that we could continue our journey to Alor Setar.

On tour drive down to Alor Setar, open burning was everywhere. Not good at all.

Bye Perlis! I hope to see you again.
