This is House No. 18, Lorong Kilang Ais, Off Jalan Pegawai, Alor Setar. It is a humble wooden home with a nipah (palm) roof. This was where our Prime Minister Tun Dr Mahathir was born on 20 December 1925.
The grounds that houses Tun Dr Mahathir's home also has 2 more small museums which feature Tun's time as a practicing doctor and his time when he joined the political scene. This place is very well maintained and attractive. There is no entrance fee to visit this place.
