黑龙洞 The Black Dragon Cave Temple, Yong Peng
I was a little taken aback when we reached this Taoist temple.
Is that it? I was expecting a temple in a cave!
However, it is grand, very grand in carvings and bright colors. We were the only ones there last weekend. It is just about 10 minutes from downtown. The caretakers were kind and friendly.
This part of the temple looked like a dormintory. It may cater for monks or worshippers when they hold a huge festival or event.

These are supposedly wading pools for children. They were empty when we were there.
Look at the doors! Beautiful carvings.

The Netherworld or The Underworld
The temple began with 2 main deities back in 1965, and they were Natok Gong and Da Pek Gong. They sit right at the entrance of the temple, next to the cave shrine.

Look at how the roof was decorated. Such brilliant artwork.
This Black Dragon Cave Temple is amazing with its magnificent artwork and there are quite a number of Taoist deities here as well. I imagine this place must be quite a grand sight during a Chinese festival.
A website named Zhanggongfazhugong, in 2008,
stated that this Black Dragon Cave temple actually started in 1965 as a small shrine.
In 1976, it was housed in another shrine and it became famous for cures.
In 1978, deities started working together for the good of the community.
In 1982, the deities moved to a new concrete structure.
In 2003, this new Black Dragon Cave temple started its construction.
