A beautiful Siamese-Buddhist temple right in Kampung Koh, Sitiawan. It is believed that this temple was set up by Thai Buddhist monks of the Theravada tradition, in the early 20th century. The devotees celebrate Wesak Day (full moon in May) and Kathina Ceremony (robe offering) on a large scale here. It would be great fun to join in the festivities.
White Tiger deity, Taoist origin
Looks like a memorial garden here
Sun Wukong is the main deity in this wooden temple
This new modern building in the temple grounds houses a large sitting Buddha and a small reclining Buddha.
The 4-faced Buddha
It is believed that the front face usually faces the temple entrance and it represents life and career. Then, going clockwise, the 2nd face is for relationship and family. The 3rd face is for wealth and the last face is for wisdom and health.
