It was a fun drive to this national park. Found that Meridien Ave leads right to the entrance. Then, another 40 mins drive to Paradise. We were at this entrance at 9AM so there was no traffic jam. Nice leisure and scenic drive.

Entrance fee is USD30 for 7 days.

14,410 feet; the highest active volcano peak in the USA

Rainier last erupted in 1894

Paradise Visitor Center

This visitor center is quite empty. There's only information about trails around the ridge and helpful staff. No souvenir shop. No cafe. Disappointed.

But, a great spot to capture Mount Rainier in her majesty, up close and personal!

Some of the trails are still covered in snow when we were there.
