July 31 to August 4, 2022
North Cascade Loop
La Conner
We decided to stop at La Conner for breakfast as we were a little too early. Our aim was stop at Taylor's Shellfish Farm and that only opens at 12 noon.
Taylor's Shellfish Farm, Bow
A well known seafood place and it sure was. The queue was crazy. Seafood was fresh indeed.
Bellingham
Its historical district was lovely and stylish. Lots of great restaurants and shops.
Lynden
This little town surprised me. Beautifully decorated with flowers. Windmills everywhere.
Mount Shuksan
Mount Baker
Mount Baker Highway which ends at Artist Point
I must admit, the drive along the Mount Baker Highway as a boring one! Trees after trees... if I was not driving, I would have been snoring already. BUT... when you reach Artist Point, it was worth it. Imagine thick snow in August?
Diablo Lake
I had trouble take photos here because of the crazy strong sunlight. The lake is magnificient.
Winthrop
Truly, it is the Wild Wild West in this year 2022! I loved Winthrop. But it is just a small one road downtown, with interesting shops.
Driving into Winthrop was already a WOW. The backdrop of nature changed drastically from green to brown. I felt like I was driving through a desert.
We actually dropped by Twisp by there's nothing there! Shops were spaced out.
Chelan ~ Lake Chelan
Beautiful lake. People were swimming and boating and fishing.
Cashmere
Lovely little town nestled in the desert hills.
Plums
Apples
Pears
Cherries
Fruit trees along the highway. Haddddd to stop to take some photos!
Wenatchee
Visited there market and had a bit there. Lovely surroundings.
Leavenworth
Decided to visit Leavenworth as it was only 15 mins away. Visited once in March 2022 and felt weird to see it without its snowy mountains.
Ellensburg
This is the famous Ellensburg Bull seated in the heart of downtown!
Historical. Lovely to walk around.
