This was the newest phase of the memorial hall commemorating 
the surrender of the Japanese army in Nanjing in 1945.

"The gunboat features a body fastened with rivets.  During their invasion of China, Japanese troops deployed a number of such gunboats in canals, lakes and rivers in the areas along the Yangtze River. "

153 pieces of cultural relics are on display - 
steel helmets, telescopes, bayonets, weapons, cannonballs - 
used by the German, Italian and Japanese.
