This is the Gate Tower of the Presidential Palace; was known as Zhen ShenRong Guang Men (Genius Gate). The gate was demolished in 1864 and was rebuilt in 1929.

Stables

"These buildings used to be stables in the Liangjiang Viceroy's official residence, the Heavenly Dynasty Palace and the Provisional President's Office. They became storehouses and the places where the Communications Team, the Military Band, the Guard Detachment, and the Cleanup Crew located during the Nationalist and the Presidential Governments."
