Wisma Masri is actually a building whereby the ground floor is occupied by a ‘kitchen’ for making Bahulu and cakes, a huge Kerepek shop and a restaurant.
Located along the highway right after Sekinchan town, on the right side. We actually drove up to Sungai Besar today and on our way to Sekinchan we dropped by to get fresh Bahulu.
Bahulu is Malaysia’s Madeleines or dainty egg cakes. Comes in all sorts of designs. It is a simple cake just made of eggs, sugar and flour. There’s a variety of new flavors today but the original is always the best!
The boys were very friendly and welcoming. Didn’t mind me taking video and photos at all, although I stepped into their kitchen. They even gave me free Bahulu to sample. Hot and crispy!
The ladies at the back were making simple Swiss Rolls with pineapple jam. Also very friendly and I didn’t annoy them! They chatted with me while working too.
What a bunch of kind souls.
