We were greeted by a young boy who told us that we needed a tour guide. So we joined the previous couple who just came. The guide spoke fast and didn’t give us time to read. The other couple just followed him like puppies. Guess they were not interested in reading, just listening!
I hate being rushed in a museum. Unless the museum is entirely in a language that I do not understand, then I will go along with the guide. But this, I needed to spend time to read the facts and labels. So we told the guide to move on, we would follow eventually.
We ended up on our own which was fine to us. I prefer to slowly learn and see the artifacts being displayed.
Factory was interesting. Before entrance, we were offered free cold drinks. So lovely. Then we just followed the path designated for tourists and all was good. Chatted a bit with the lady who was showing us her part in pewter making. She had spent 45 years of her life working here!
Grabbed a coffee at the cafe and visited the souvenir shop. A rather exquisite one really ~ they were selling jewelry, keychains, pendants, tea sets, frames and statues. It eas Star Wars month so Star Wars characters were featured, along with Marvel characters and Disney characters.
