Kopitiam Lau Fong
Jalan Raja
Teluk Intan
A beautifully designed restaurant filled with colorful murals inside the restaurant. Outside, it looks kinda Nyonya but they serve typical Malaysian food with Hainam coffee and Sri Lankan Teh and homemade Nyonya kueh!
This sure looks like Jiufen in Taiwan!
The Leaning Tower of Teluk Intan
Polo Bun
Prawn Meehoon
Nasi Lemak with Fried Chicken
And my Sri Lankan Tea!
Toilet area
Upstairs ~ empty for the time being but ready to be set up as a dining area.
Ms Tan, the boss, explaining how they cooked their Kueh Bakul for 30 hours!
Kuih Pulut Tekan or Kuih Tai Tai ~ served with Kaya
Explaining about how Gula Melaka had increased in price but she remained honest in her ingredients as it shows in her kuehs’ quality.
This beautiful soft spoken young girl, Shifa, showed me how she makes Ang ku kuih and Kuih Koci in this kopitiam. Shifa will soon continue her studies in Perlis and she will no longer be working here. Wishing her all the best in her future endeavors. I am glad I got to create 2 short video reels of her at work.
