Tung Loh Temple (銅鑼廟)

Tung Loh Temple (銅鑼廟)

Lorong 1, Kampung Sungai Jarom, Jenjarom

Read the history about this temple from https://tunglohtemple.gbs2u.com/bd/index3.asp?userid=69110035&idno=2

Once upon in 1910, Chen Bing who lived in Anxi, Fujian brought over Kwan Kung's (they call Him "Guandiye") incense to Malaya. It was believed that incense ashes were carried for protection especially being far away from home. (I am still unsure whether they brought over the incense burner or ashes or the actual Kwan Kung's statue!!!)

Anyhow, Chen Bing came to Jenjarom to work in the rubber and coffee plantation. Temple in Jenjarom was originally located on Shizi Road. Then it was moved to 10th Road. In 1986, the temple was moved from 10th Road to 1st Road (current location). Temple was renovated as well and that took about 5 years to complete.

I actually found a temple named Tongluo Temple in Bashe, Anxi County which looks like this:

Also known as the Zhongyi Temple

Located in Tongluo Village in Shengfu She Village, Hushang Township

This temple is worships Emperor Guan or Kwan Kung, God of War.
He is also the protector of the common folk. There were stories in the internet whereby during the 1970s, there were healing sessions in this temple as Jenjarom had no proper medical facilities.
