Ah Meng Kopitiam
Taman Pilah Jaya, Kuala Pilah
I thought I went to the wrong kopitiam. Expecting it to be all Chinese coz of its name, but it was all Malay. Well, bosses are Chinese. In fact, lady boss took our drink order and we had a little chat as well.
This kopitiam started way back in 1947. Wow and they kept it going still. Because of its location in a Malay kampung area, their customers are mostly Malay. There were Chinese and Indians too coming in, in family groups.
Food stalls here are all run by the Malay people so you can get roti canai, Kelantanese stall, mee kari, Malay kuih and of cos the usually toasts and eggs.
Only now I realized that the founder’s name is right on top of the door, Tan Choon Hee.
