The ID KAH MOSQUE, Kashgar
One of the largest mosques in Central Asia and the largest in China. It was built in 1442 by Saqsiz Mirza, King of Ancient Kashgar Kingdom. The name of the mosque in Persian means “festive”.
Located just next to the entrance to Kashgar Old City. In front of the mosque is a huge square named Id Kah Square. At the end of Ramadan, there would be 1 day of dancing and festivity. For the Korban festival, there’s 3 days of dancing and festivities.
