West Baiyanggou Scenic Area
Located 2000m above Urumqi. Supposedly, this is the most popular scenic area of the Nanshan Grassland. Huge area to drive around though. Here, we saw vast grassland where cattle grazed. Because it is October already, the mountains and pastures here looked brown and bare.
Where the waterfall is, there’s lots of fir trees around. We visited a Kazakh village and had lunch in a yurt. Then we walked around different grassland watching the cattle and horses grazed.
Temperature went down drastically so rented a winter coat for 20 Yuan
