It was for fun. It was unplanned. That's why winning was so exhilarating.
I visited a Christmas Market organized by Gamuda Gardens last December with a student of mine, Rynnaas. Took some great shots of their fake snow and Christmas stalls.
Gamuda Berhad is one of the largest engineering, property and infrastructure companies in Malaysia. They are creating more and more innovative real estate developments in and out of Malaysia.
Later on, Gamuda organized a photography context online. I was like... why not? Entered a portrait which I took of Rynnaas. I personally loved that portrait. Next thing I knew, I was one of the selected winners!
So, Hubs, Rynnaas and I made a trip to Gamuda Cove for their prize-giving ceremony on a Saturday afternoon. Surprisingly, the little ceremony turned out into a pretty exciting and eventful day.
We registered and got ourselves gift bags. Then there were games for us to play while waiting for the ceremony to start. I was MOST EXCITED when I saw my portrait blown up as a canvas print. WOW!
Terrariums
Visitors were encouraged to make their own terrariums and take them home as gifts.
Gamuda's property designs
Tea time! They fed us really well.
A drive into the Paya Indah Wetlands. I was disappointed. They were suppose to have crocodiles and hippos and I only met ONE peacock!
Aerobar time! This is suppose to be the first aerobar in Malaysia. The cocktail bar was not in operation yet but we were allowed to bring our juices and coffee up with us. I so wanted a cold beer!
Pretty cool ride. 35 metres or about 115 feet in the air. Loved the scenery. Loved the skyline. Loved the sunset.
