Kampung Morten
Kampung Morten @ Morten Village is a historical traditional Malay village in the City of Melaka. This village is enveloped by River Melaka. It was named after British Land Commissioner,  Frederick Joseph Morten, who was part of the Malaya Civil Service back then. Morten was responsible in turning this swampy mangrove forest into a settlement for the villagers.

Villa Sentosa is the oldest traditional house in Kampung Morten; built in 1921.

Built in 1945, this house used to be a grocery shop and then renovated to be a village home in 1963. Today it is a unique patriotic-designed kampung house in this village.

The villagers have turned their houses into homestays here.
