London : A Stopover

Sunrise in London

St. Paul's Cathedral is a Renaissance masterpiece located on the site of a Roman temple.  This cathedral dedicated to St. Paul has overlooked London since 604 AD.

The most famous bell in a Gothic tower in the world, Big Ben.

Big Ben is the name of a massive bell inside the The Elizabeth Clock Tower at the north end of The Houses of Parliament in Westminster, next to the River Thames. It weighs more than 13 tons. Its chimes were first broadcast on 31 December 1923 and its tradition continues to this day. Big Ben survived WWII.

The ever-fabulous Westminster Abbey. Built by Edward the Confessor and William the Conqueror was crowned here on Christmas 1066. The funeral service for Princess Diana was held here in 1997.
