Melaka Warrior Monument

Melaka War Memorial @ Kuo Ming Tang Cenotaph @ Chinese War Memorial

A cenotaph is a monument erected in honor of people who had died in a war. It could be an empty tomb as well. The word Cenotaph derived from Greek which means empty tomb. Cenotaphs were common in the ancient world

The pathway to the cenotaph is so pretty with cacti and willow trees on the sides.

This monument was raised in memory of the Chinese victims during the Japanese occupation in Melaka. It consists of one column inscribed with Chinese calligraphy and a Kuo Min Tang flag at the top. It is located at the foot of Bukit Cina, beside Hang Li Po's well.
