"Soong Ching Ling, wife of Dr. Sun Yat Sen, was the honorary President of the PRC. Soong Ching Ling's former residence in Shanghai is where she lived for the longest time in her life. Since 1949 when she moved into this building, she had always called it "my lovely home". It was also a major place for her state activities.
A lot of heritage items of Soong Ching Ling and Sun Yat Sen such as manuscripts, letters, photos and daily necessities are carefully preserved here in the residence, which had not only witnessed her hard working for the country and people, but also recorded every detail of her life. Now everything in the residence is kept as when she lived here. Looking around, we can still feel her elegance and immortality."
