Dinghai Road
楊浦區 定海路
We unexpectedly walked into it in the midst of hunting for the Shanghai International Fashion Centre (SIFC), which was still quite some distance away. As this market was so captivating, we stayed a while and 'inspected' what each shop was selling, determined to visit it again after our visit to the SIFC. We hoped that it would still be open as markets usually closed after Noon. IT WAS!
Such an ancient looking street
Chinese pancakes and Yau Char Kwai
Seafood
Sweet and savory pastries
Thai durians
Popcorn
This was hilarious! There's shoes, clothing and pork in a shop!
A traditional mini mart!!!
Bakery
Dame Meow
This was almost 6 PM and shops were still opened! HOORAY! We saw a long queue in front of this duck shop. We had stopped by in the morning and the boss told us to come and buy; ducks were roasting at that time. Lucky for us, they were still opened by this time but they had already sold over 100 ducks already! We were sure lucky to be able to buy one home.
Bought some pastries home too!
Chinese pancakes
This was hilarious too... pancakes, oysters and raw meat....all on one table!!!
Happy to have toured and shopped at this wonderful Dinghai Road Market!
